| WHO/WHAT: |
More than 60 children, ages 8 – 14, and their parents, employees of The Nielsen Company,
will take part in Nielsen’s eleventh annual Take Your Daughters and Sons to Work Day event.
In keeping with the national “Take Your Daughters and Sons to Work Day” theme, “Making Choices for a Better World,” Nielsen employees will educate children on what some of the consumer packaged goods (CPG) manufacturers—Nielsen’s clients—are doing to incorporate Earth-friendly standards, such as offering greener products to consumers, smaller and recycled packaging and encouraging consumers to reuse shopping bags.
Children will form teams to develop ideas to re-use/recycle a product, such as a 2-liter bottle, and create a consumer marketing plan, including the new product’s logo and slogan, and present it to the group.
